JinkoSolar, manufacturer member of Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI)

Jinko Solar is among the first 10 members of the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI) – the supply chain sustainability assurance scheme dedicated to the needs of solar PV.

The company has already completed independent SSI ESG Standard assessments for three module production sites, carried out by a qualified third-party assessment body. These assessments cover 96 criteria across governance, environment, and human & labour rights.

In addition, JinkoSolar has also completed two independent SSI Traceability Standard assessments for two module production sites, carried out by a qualified external assessment body and obtaining two Bronze certificates. This Standard, which sets out the requirements for maintaining a traceability system, focuses on supply chain transparency and shows precisely where the materials used at each link come from and how they are traced.

Contributing Expertise to SSI Traceability and Procurement Working Groups

JinkoSolar is also an active member of the SSI Traceability, having provided technical guidance and best practices during the SSI Supply Chain Traceability Standard development. In addition, the company is a member of the Procurement Working Group, which discusses procurement challenges and emerging best practices to support responsible solar sourcing and enable practical collaboration among buyers, manufacturers, and other relevant stakeholders.
